Annie Lee White Gray otherwise known as “Grandma Gray” to the Well Driller’s Association, as well as the Gray family in Florida in the early years of the twentieth century. Here she is in 1917.

Wonderful memories! She is actually smiling. I think all of the old photos we have of relatives they all look so grim and scary. In fact my youngest daughter couldn’t sleep in the spare bedroom at my mom’s house because the picture of my great grandpa and grandma was so intimidating

Oh Anita, I know….I thought they were all cranky until I learned how long they had to sit in those hot clothes…yikes! I just love that story about your youngest, I so relate to her;O)
